Red Deer Family Lawyers - Our family law practitioners assist clients experiencing the breakdown of a marriage or common-law relationship with services and advice connected to prenuptial agreement, divorce, business valuation, and other legal problems. When marital-type relationships falter, clients require sound assistance and advice with respect to agreements governing their personal and business assets.

To be able to reduce the resulting disruptions and to minimize costs for our clients, we work to solve the various matters utilizing a combination of resourcefulness and common sense. Alternate dispute resolutions or direct negotiation are often sufficient to solve family matters. Then again, when appropriate, family law issues can proceed to court.

Divorce Settlements

We have family law professionals assisting clients in obtaining divorce settlements. The spousal support and property division issues that accompany divorce are handled by our experienced family law practitioners. The law governing spousal support is always evolving and complicated. Clients depend on knowledgeable legal assistance in this area in order to protect their interests. Increasingly, cohabitation and separation agreements are subject to review and variation in the courts.

Business Valuations

Key assets subject to division in a divorce proceeding normally comprise business holdings. In order to provide the foundation for an appropriate disposition, the business needs an accurate valuation for the purpose of dividing assets. Our family law firm works together with the right experts to ensure the right valuation of clients' business holdings.

Prenuptial Agreements

Several clients wish to opt for a prenuptial agreement in order to maintain their premarital assets just in case their marriage happens to fail. Our family law practitioners offer recommendation on and structure prenuptial agreements.

Estate Litigation

The defense of challenges to family trusts are a crucial part of our family law practice. Divorce proceedings can put family trust assets at risk. Estate litigators act to preserve and protect family trust assets if a marriage dissolves.

Mobility Rights

The rights of parents to mobility and access may be compromised following the dissolution of a marriage. Problems normally relate to the parent's ability to relocate to a different province, country or city with a child of the marriage. Family law works to make certain that the client's rights are protected and considered.
